Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating an account or calling the codecafe24 API you agree to these Terms. If you use the service for an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind that organisation.

2. The service

codecafe24 provides create, validate, convert, render, extract, and related REST operations for Factur-X, ZUGFeRD, XRechnung, Peppol BIS, UBL, CII, KSeF, and FatturaPA. Features depend on your plan. We may update rule sets when authorities publish new artefacts.

3. Accounts and keys

You must keep login OTPs and API keys confidential. You are responsible for activity under your workspace. Do not share keys in public repositories.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use the API for unlawful invoicing, to attack or probe the service, to reverse-engineer beyond what the OpenAPI spec already discloses, or to exceed rate limits in a way that harms other customers. We may throttle or suspend abusive traffic.

5. Your data and invoices

You retain rights in the data you submit. You grant us a limited licence to process it solely to run the requested operation. Invoice files are processed in memory and are not stored as an archive. Account records live in our EU database. See the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for the accuracy of invoice data and for whether a format, profile, or transmission method meets your tax and legal duties. We do not provide legal or tax advice. We do not warrant that a counterparty or authority will accept every output.

6. Plans and payment

Paid plans are billed through Polar, which acts as merchant of record. Polar’s terms apply to the payment itself. Subscriptions renew until cancelled. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period unless stated otherwise. Usage limits and overage rules are described on Pricing. 7. Availability

The service is provided as available. No SLA applies unless we agree one in writing. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice for paid plans.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or data loss. Our aggregate liability for a claim is limited to the fees you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (for example death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

9. Suspension

We may suspend access for unpaid invoices, security risk, or material breach. You may stop using the API and delete your account at any time.

10. Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the European Union jurisdiction of our operations, without conflict-of-law rules. Courts of competent jurisdiction in that place have venue, except where consumer law gives you a mandatory forum.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. The date at the top of this page is the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept it, except where mandatory law requires a different process.
